Spring has sprung!

Spring is officially here!! I think I've said that already, but it's worth saying again. After spending 3 days in cold New York it was nice to get home to the good ole south. Last week I bought Peyton an Elmo sprinkler. Today it was warm enough to try it out! He was cautious at first, but warmed up pretty quickly. All I can say is Maw and Paw better watch out this summer because I'm certain I have a water lover and their pool is just his size! ha! Please notice that Peyton is modeling is oh so cute swim suit that Nana got for him.

Those who know Peyton knows he's a counter this days...this is a pic of him counting to 2.

Not sure what happened to his head in this one!

Do you have the energy?

So I attemepted again to video Peyton saying some of his words...no luck. However I did manage to video him on a typical night at our house....my question is....do you have the energy??

We're baaack!

We're back, we had a GREAT time, our flight was delayed, we almost missed our connecting that we already had to change and we didn't get our luggage until 7:00pm the next day. Thats the short version :-) If you're so interested in the long one, feel free to call me!! We really did have a great time...I missed my little man tremendously though. I'm glad that we got our "girls" trip, but I think next time we'll have to bring the whole family!! I know Peyton had a great time with Nana and Pop...he slept for like 3 day after they left!! Thats always a sure sign he had a good time. Not much else to post....for all you Peyton watchers there are unfortunately no pictures to post today...I'll have to get with Nana to get those pictures. I'll work on getting some new ones this weekend!! These pictures I've posted are of us in New York. You'll notice Mom and I with 2 famous people in the second picture! We got to go to Good Morning America Friday morning and the hosts are nice enough to stay after and take pictures with you...AWESOME! The last picture is the view from our hotel room...it's Central Park people!

Ever been to New York City?

Hope this post finds everyone recovering from a fabulous Easter! Ours was great...we spent all day Saturday with family and ate our weight in crawfish. It was awesome and for the first time in awhile it was relaxing. Being with family always makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I know we're home a lot, but we don't often get to see our brothers and sisters so when we do, it's a special treat. I wish we could do it so much more often. That being said, I so did not need to travel this weekend!!! I had WAY too much to do here at home, but I'm managing. My Mom and I leave Thursday morning for New York and I haven't the first thing packed....aahhh!! I'm so excited and while the last few weeks feel like they've dragged along, this week is going too fast...I need more time! Oh well, I'll pull it off as I always do and it will fabulous. I'm having anxiety about leaving Peyton for 4 days even though I know he will be in excellent hands with Daddy, Nana and Pop. This will be the longest I've ever been away from him....I think New York will help keep me occupied though!! Well I know everyone comes here for the pictures so here you go...these are a few from our fun filled Easter weekend!! I have more to post, but not enough time in the day to do....maybe tomorrow! Good Night!

Just when you think you've dodged it......

it happens. Yes sir...we're sick. I guess it's my own fault...I've been bragging about how we've managed to stay well through all these illnesses everyone has. Shouldn't have counted my blessings so quickly! Peyton started this morning off with a horrible diaper which lead to two more horrible diapers which lead to him throwing up in the kitchen. His illness has lead to my (Lisa) illness...which is about the same. I'm officially running a fever and all I can say is thank GOD Brad is not out of town this week. He usually is gone when these things happen. He's been a great daddy and hubby tonight...taking care of his family. I pray this is over quick since we're suppose to go to Jackson to meet Nana and Pop this weekend. But mostly, I want it to be over because I hate feeling like this and I know Peyton hates feeling like this. On that note, I'll leave you with a sweet picture of the little man....maybe that will make us well!!

You put your right foot in....

Do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around!! It's the latest dance craze and you're just not with it if you're not doing the hokey pokey!!! At least at the Hoefler house :-) Peyton LOVES doing the hokey pokey and would do it ALL DAY if we could sing it that long. I'm not really sure where he actually learned it, but he picked up on it very quickly. On a side note....he thoroughly enjoyed seeing Elmo in person 2 weeks ago. I wasn't sure how an 18 month old was going to react, but let me tell you, he was in awe! It lastest 2 hours and Peyton managed to stay awake the full 2 hours. We even bought an $8 Elmo balloon he proceeded to let go. He had a blast, I had a blast and I think it's safe to say that Maw had a blast. Thanks Maw for helping out!! I'll try to load pictures from our day a little later. For now I'll leave you with a much anticipated video of Peyton doing the hokey pokey as well as saying a few "words". Please forgive my singing....I know I'm horrible!

Valentine's Day

Valentines Day has come and gone and yes I know...I'm finally writing about it! Peyton had a GREAT day. It was pajama day at school and he really enjoyed that. It was nice to get up and not have to rush to get ready for the day....we both showed up in our pj's and it was great! The teachers had gotten all the Mommies candles, bubble bath and chocolate so we could enjoy our time without the little ones. I thought that was so sweet. At lunch I went back to school to help out with the Valentine party. It was so cute to see all the little ones having lunch together....I would bet money that this is the only time the children eat quietly....I know thats true for Peyton anyways. I wanted to know who that child was and what did they do with my baby! It's so good to know that he behaves at school though. It was so fun playing with all of Peyton's friends. There was one little boy that apparently thought I was his mommy because he kept calling me Mommy the whole time I was there...he was so cute! Peyton got super jealous though because the little boy sat in my lap the whole time and Peyton is sure that my lap belongs only to him. We worked it out though. Now maybe it's only me, but I was totally shocked to see that everyone brought Valentines for 18 month olds....everyone except me!! Yes I'm a horrible mother but honestly it never occured to me that we would bring candy for 18 month olds. I felt SO BAD and I can guarantee it will never happen again, but really....who gives peppermints to an 18 month old. Thats right..one of the parents, whose child is Peytons age!, put peppermints in a goody bag. Totally blows my mind but whatever. After valentines day we went to Bossier for a long visit. We had a great time and both sets of grandparents got a good fix. Tomorrow we go for Peyton's 18 month check up...can't wait to expose him to all these sickly kids just for a check up. Say a prayer we stay healthy since we're on a pretty good streak right now. Tuesday we're heading back to Bossier for Sesame Street Live (woohoo) and the Michael Buble concert. I can't wait!! Well, this post has become random and lengthy so I must go. Have a great ending week!!
